Completion of Disability-Inclusive Child Rights Training of Trainers

We are thrilled to announce the successful completion of ADF’s Disability-Inclusive Child Rights Training of Trainers held in Johannesburg, South Africa from 23 – 25 September 2024.

Under the Civil Society Strengthening Program, implemented in partnership with Save the Children International, this three-day training brought together passionate participants from the Southern Africa Federation of the Disabled (SAFOD) and its member organizations eager to make a difference. The sessions were not just informative; they were interactive, fostering deep discussions and shared experiences.

Participants described the training as an “eye-opener” and a “life-changing experience.” Many expressed their commitment to prioritizing the needs of children with disabilities, vowing to take the knowledge gained back to their organizations and communities.

These newly equipped trainers are now ready to amplify the voices of children with disabilities and spread awareness. Together, we can create a more inclusive society where every child, regardless of disability, can thrive!
