- African Continental DPOs
Pan African organisations composed of representative national organisations of persons with disabilities and/or parents of persons with disabilities have full voting rights and are eligible for election to the ADF Executive Council, and to other ADF structures.
- African Sub-regional Federations of DPOs
African sub-regional legally established federations of national representative cross-disability umbrella organisations of persons with disabilities and parents have full voting rights and are eligible for election to the ADF Executive Council and to other ADF structures.
- National Federations of DPOs
Legally established and representative cross-disability national federations and networks of DPOs have a right to participate in ADF work plan activities and to participate in ADF General Assembly meetings and other ADF-sponsored events. Voting rights of national federations in the ADF General Assembly are according to a sub-regional voting system set out in the ADF Bylaws.
- ADF Associate Members and Partners
Non-governmental organisations of all kinds (disability service providing organisations, development NGOs, universities, public and private companies, others) working at African regional, sub-regional, or national level, as well as international organizations that are committed to promoting the aims of ADF, may join the ADF as Associate Members. Organizations that provide financial, material and other support to ADF may join ADF as Supporting Members. Potential supporting member organizations include governments, bilateral and multilateral donor agencies, UN organizations, foundations, non-governmental donor agencies, and other organizations working at African regional, sub-regional, or national level that are committed to supporting the aims and work of the Forum. Associate and Associate and Supporting members are regularly informed about ADF work and may participate in meetings and other ADF-sponsored events at their own expense, but have no voting rights, nor the right to be elected to the ADF Executive Council or other ADF structures.
